Petition: Make the Day After the Super Bowl a Holiday
A friend of mine started this petition and it's picked up some steam (he's been interviewed by Fox News and several radio stations). Basically it is what it says: Make the day after the Super Bowl and National Holiday. Sign!

The nfl has been trying to get this done unofficially for years by making the season longer. They want to start a few weeks later and have the season end on Presidents day.

who the hell gets president day off besides schools?

Maybe its just perception, but it feels like the game has gotten better over the years. Throughout most of the 80s and 90s the game was a blowout and anti-climatic.

Over the last 10-12 years it seems like the games have become closer and harder fought? Maybe its the parity factor?

It's been worse for me, I get older and the Chiefs still haven't made one since the day I was born and quite frankly other than the smack on the ass I don't remember much else about that day.

For me, the Super Bowl is usually over before 8 pm, so it isn't too hard to get up the next day. However, if I ever actually get to see the Chiefs win a Super Bowl, I would probably take the next day off because it would be tough to sleep that night.

They should make the day after the draft a holiday. As a Chiefs fan, that's usually when I feel the most like killing myself, and I could really use a pick-me-up like a day off from work.
