Football RUMOR - Bob Dylan replaces Beyoncé as Super Bowl halftime performer, or so says Tim H - Page 3

Bob Dylan has replaced Beyoncé as the Super Bowl halftime performer—or at least Tim Heidecker says he has. According to the ex-Rolling Stone editor and Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! star, the folk warbler has replaced the pop star after her inauguration lip synching scandal left the country—and sponsor Pepsi—so shocked and saddened that the only cure was a notoriously eccentric 71-year-old.

Reminding the world that nothing screams contact sports like an old man in a floppy bow tie, Dylan even (supposedly) dropped a new single around the announcement. “Running Out The Clock” was (allegedly) recorded around the time of Dylan’s Infidels album in 1983, but hasn’t been released until now. Thank heaven the singer had this song chock full of football metaphors just sitting around, gathering dust on an archives shelf somewhere. Here’s hoping he’s got a bunch of old dance moves in storage, too.

They should just abolish these crapshows at halftime. I realize they put them on to generate interest from women, but they're terrible.

It's very important. Is it going to be somebody worth hearing like Springsteen or Dylan, or is it going to be somebody vanilla and boring like Beyonce, or is it going to be someone offensively untalented like any rap artist or those little gunshot kids.

I dunno, Tim Heidecker is usually a pretty reliable source of breaking news. He was even the Editor-in-Chief at Rolling Stone for a little while last year, so I think he might have the inside track on this kind of story.

Whoever it is, I hope its a disaster. The more times the halftime show flops, the greater the chance that it will just go away.

Not a Beyonce fan.

I hope she lip syncs it again and ****s it up ala Ashlee Simpson.

Then the crowd will boo and Jay Z will pull out his 9 and start to pop caps in everyone's ass.

Now THAT would be a halftime show and perfectly befitting a farewell for Ray Ray Lewis.
