The town where Osama Bin Laden was killed will soon boast the Disneyland of Pakistan.

Officials in Abbottabad, where the 9/11 mastermind met his fate at the hands of U.S. Navy SEALs, is planning to build a $30 million amusement park to boost tourism.

But don’t expect the park to be filled with Al Qaeda-themed attractions such a fatwa funhouse or jihadist zipline.

“This project has nothing to do with Osama Bin Laden,” Syed Aqil Shah, minister for tourism and sports in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, told reporters.

The park will instead be very similar to ones in America.

Shah said the park will have a wildlife zoo, food courts, waterfalls, jogging tracks, rock-climbing walls and a miniature golf course.

Ground will be broken later this month on the first 50-acre phase of the project. Shah said the plans calls for the park to eventually be expanded by another 500 acres.

The Navy’s celebrated SEAL Team Six killed Bin Laden on May 2, 2011, during their daring raid on the Abbottabad compound where Bin Laden had been hiding out.

The compound has since been demolished out of fear it would become a shrine for Al Qaeda followers. A replica of the compound was built for the Oscar-nominated film “Zero Dark Thirty,” which chronicles the Bin Laden take-down mission.

Shah made clear that the ground where Bin Laden’s compound once stood will not be part of the amusement park.

He insisted the amusement park is not an attempt for the town to polish its tarnished image as Bin Laden’s longtime safe haven.

“We are working to promote tourism and amusement facilities,” Shah said.

What's the problem here exactly? They're NOT using the land where Osama's compound was, they're NOT naming it after him, they're NOT promoting him in any way. It just happens to be in the same city where he was killed -- a rather large city, by the way.

Don’t you think that $30M would be better spent on infrastructure? It’s their money so whatever but still, priorities.

Sign at entrance reads :

There will be no smiling allowed while in the park. The stoning pit is next to the south entrance and the Goat exhibit is still under construction.
