Do you support the outright ban of "assault" rifles?

Simple...

yes or no.

This thread brought to you by a comment in DC stating we would be surprised by how few people in DC would support the ban. Figured we might as well get numbers.

The article mentions "jury nullification" which is the tactic america used to end drug prohibition. That's what needs to be communicated to americans -- jury trial, jury nullification and again, the gov't will be forced to cut laws.

It takes someone with a sick mind to knowingly and willfully kill another human being w/ an assault rifle.

It doesn't just accidently happen. It's fear tactics....same as not wanting to swim in the oceans because you'll think a shark will attack you. Same think w/ being involved in a mass shooting.

They're wanting to pass gun banning legislation so that when everything collapses and and the constitution is suspended and martial law is presented to the American public, people that don't rely on the govt hand won't have ways to protect themselves from over-aggressive govt.

One of the more disturbing bits to come out of Sandy Hook....just like in VTech looks like restricting magazines to 10 rounds is really going to make a difference.....

Quote:
“It really was like he was lost in one of his own sick games. That’s what we heard. That he learned something from his game that you learn in (police) school, about how if you’re moving from room to room — the way he was in that school — you have to reload before you get to the next room. Maybe he has a 30-round magazine clip, and he’s only used half of it. But he’s willing to dump 15 rounds and have a new clip before he arrives in the next room.”

The career law enforcement veteran paused again, and when he started speaking again his voice was shaking, like a wind had blown through it.

“They believe he learned the principles of this — the tactical reload — from his game. Reload before you’re completely out.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1291408

While I believe there shouldn't be restrictions on either....the fact that people are saying ban guns and not video games is pretty hypocritical. Both had about as much impact in the events.....
