Pope Benedict to seek immunity and protection from Italian President Giorgio Napolitano on February 23 Posted on February 14, 2013 by itccs

Pope Benedict, Joseph Ratzinger, has scheduled a meeting with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano for Saturday, February 23 to discuss securing protection and immunity from prosecution from the Italian government, according to Italian media sources.

Ratzinger's meeting follows upon the apparent receipt by the Vatican of a diplomatic note from an undisclosed European government on February 4, stating its intention to issue an arrest warrant for Ratzinger, who resigned from his pontificate less than a week later.

In response to the February 23 meeting, the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS), through its field Secretary, Rev. Kevin Annett, has written to President Napolitano, asking him to refrain from assisting Ratzinger in evading justice.

Men in the Seminary changed around the early 60s perhaps sooner like mid 50's, until even today - if you were friendly to tradition you were ousted. Many many lost vocations.

The Gates of hell will not prevail - so many governments have tried to "take care" of the Catholic church. Not to say that the church is perfect as it is run by men - and what seems like for some time now someof these men are those that have actively harmed children, hurt the faithful, and shamed the church.

The issue of abusing kids is not a strictly Catholic issue, the problem was those that wanted to harm kids found a welcome home in the Catholic seminaries and now those men are our bishops.

So many bad popes through history, but when it came to matters of the faith I trust the Holy Spirit to guide whomever is the leader of the worlds billions of Catholics.

Wow, thank you for that honest and intriguing response. I don't know where the Vatican goes from here as far as picking a new Pope.

Slag I admire you for at least being able to see the problem as it is. I think you as a member refuse to see the depth of peoples disgust that are outside the church.

Its like the catholic church hung a sign outside that said pedofiles wanted. And now its become pervasive everywhere.

I heard one in four were homosexuals back around the mid 1980's and filled with Marxists (including nuns).

And kudos to Slag again for having his faith in what he thinks is right and not in the organization. Never worship man, its even worse than a superstition. At least there's a chance the superstition / god might be worth it, if he actually exists.

It's true that there are gay priests, but its not true that any bishop today sexually abused children, as far as anybody knows. I mean, that is a pretty significant allegation that I don't think even the most vocally anti-cleric would say.

Honestly, any Bishop who knowingly moved a Priest multiple times, thus propagating the abuse and spreading it is as guilty as those who committed the abuse. The Bishops failed to protect their flocks from sexual predators, plain and simple.

And the current / departing pope did it numerous times and covered up hundreds of more incidences.

And it wasn't the bishops. The orders came from Ratzinger directly. There's a short piece in the film about how the bishops got thrown under the bus by the vatican. At least one of them leaked documents proving it was ordered directly from the vatican.

Unfortunately, way too many traditions in the catholic church are rooted in paganism, and are not backed by scripture. To put a mere man on a throne, a crown on his head and call him holy father and the vicar of Christ... is blasphemous. Christ himself rejected being called holy, stating only God was Holy. Telling another mere man your sins, repetitive prayers to a false idol for repentance? extravagant churches, relics...nope... candles, incense, black robes and claiming wine and bread are the the actual blood and body of Christ? Christ still on the cross?...nope.....His death was the blood sacrifice, but it was the ressurection that made salvation true...

Positive that some Cathloics wiil make it to heaven, but catholicsim in of itself is troublesome...all that wealth while so many south american countries still live in squalor? not allowing clergy to marry helped propigate the homosexuality that has come to light.
