My Wife Got A Visit From The Police Today
So my wife got a visit from the police today while I was at work. The reason? Get this:

OUR NEIGHBORS COMPLAINED THAT WE (I) WAS THROWING SNOW FROM MY SNOWBLOWER ONTO THEIR LAWN!

There is an alley behind our garage, and their house is on the other side of the alley. When I use the snowblower to clear out the alley so we can get the cars in and out of the garage, the only logical place to put the snow is just off to the side of the alleyway, on their lawn. You know, THE SAME PLACE THE CITY'S SNOWPLOW PUTS THE SNOW WHEN IT MAKES ITS PASS DOWN THE ALLEY!

I thought my wife was joking when she told me. It's freaking snow for pete's sake! And why call the police and file a complaint? Why not just come talk to me and ask me if I could put it somewhere else?

It's awfully ****ing petty to call the police on this, but I still think it's pretty douchey of you to act like their lawn is the "right place" to put your excess snow just because that's what a city snow plow would have done. If I were your neighbor, I'd definitely have stopped by to ask you to quit doing it.
