Internet dating SUCKS!

So I recently signed up for Plenty of Fish. I thought to myself what the hell why not? I'm sick of the bar/club scene.
I consider myself a decent looking guy(or so I've been told) and I thought for sure I would be getting more responses but thats just not the case. I've emailed about 15 women over the past week and have only 2 of them have emailed me back. WTF? And I know they've checked their emails and my profile.

I mean, I even emailed some fat chicks and they ignored me. Its kind of a kick to the gut. Can't even get a response from a fat chick.

And some of these women on POF are ridiculous in what they want. Not even remotely being realistic. Most of them want a hard bodied Calvin Klein model.

Don't even get me started on the single moms on there. Their demands are ridiculous too.

Oh and a lot of the females on there have this quote by Marilyn Monroe thats such bs.

I've seen that quote used by women a lot on Facebook and other places. You just know they are ****ing crazy in head if they use that quote.

Dude...you are now basically competing with everyone as opposed to the few people at the bar.

Not to mention the fake people on there trying to steal from you.

Further, 2 of 15 is a decent response rate, and they ones that aren't responding to you are doing so for a number of reasons. Poor self esteem, disbelief, and some of them just aren't in to you.

Things to consider:

1) Your prof pic isn't "sexy" enough, or you're of average looks... Aka the 80% that women say they don't find attractive.

2) You're too short. Feeding off the above, women apparently think anything under 6'2 is too short for them when it comes to ones on online dating.

3) depending where you are, you're competing with around a dozen dudes, most of which are knuckledraggers sending out "hurr hurr letz ****" messages or ones actually sending "thoughtful" messages in hopes of response. In short, sometimes you get washed out by sheer volume.

4) Run away. While there's still time, before a psycho finds you.

What exactly are you sending them in your messages? If it's boring and uninteresting....they aren't going to send you a response.

I'm sure women on those sites get messaged by EVERY ****ing guy that has a profile.

I used POF and OKcupid very successfully when I lived in Houston.. now this has been 8 or 9 years ago but I doubt much has changed. Must be doing it wrong.

Yeah I'm gonna update my profile cause I'm definitely doing something wrong lol

I'm 6'2 so definitely not short hmm.

I will admit that I'm avg in looks. Calvin Klevin and Abercrombie wont be knocking on my door anytime soon haha.

And also a 43 yr old mom of 3 sent me a message back. She is pretty(not a dime by any means but she is at least a a 6.5 or 7)

If you send a message that says... How r u? Yeah, that's getting deleted. Also, if you have a picture of yourself shirtless anywhere in your profile, I don't care how buff or defined you may be, your message will get deleted.
