The world is going to end as we know it on Friday as the US Federal Government attempts to deal with a whopping $85 bil in spending cuts.

Airplanes will discontinue flying, food stamps will no longer be handed out, the Coast Guard will cease to float, the military will not be ready to fight and terrorists will begin attacking us.

All because the Federal Government will have to actually cut spending by 2.4%!!!!!!

ARMY TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SUSPENDED

The Secretary of the Army has approved the suspension of Tuition Assistance effective 5 p.m. (Eastern Time) on March 8, 2013. Soldiers will no longer be permitted to submit new requests for Tuition Assistance. However, Soldiers currently enrolled in courses approved for Tuition Assistance are not affected, and will be allowed to complete current course enrollment(s).

This change in the Army Tuition Assistance program applies to all Soldiers, including the Army National Guard and Army Reserves. The Army understands the impacts of this decision and will re-evaluate the decision if the budgetary situation improves.

my son is in the Marines and did mention it the other day, but I didn't know if maybe he just heard about he tuition assistance and assumed it's all Armed Services...I'll have to ask him about it again.

I heard that the Air Force made sure they were exempt from it. Barry purged alot of brass from the Army and replaced him with his politically correct stooges so when Barry said "jump" they asked how high.
