The Holocaust Just Got More Shocking

Thirteen years ago, researchers at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum began the grim task of documenting all the ghettos, slave labor sites, concentration camps and killing factories that the Nazis set up throughout Europe.

What they have found so far has shocked even scholars steeped in the history of the Holocaust.

The researchers have cataloged some 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps throughout Europe, spanning German-controlled areas from France to Russia and Germany itself, during Hitler’s reign of brutality from 1933 to 1945.

And that last story you posted was just sad, glad to it had a positive outcome.

I also find it amazing that some of Hitler's early Jewish friends who got out still wrote him throughout the war. Humans. We are an interesting bunch.

Maybe someday your radar will include the huge influence of anti-Semitism that was preached and endorsed by your church. A charge of Jewish deicide or in simple terms "Christ killers" was not dropped until the 60s. I think it's a little too neat how you think your own anti-Catholicism is somehow more noble than European antisemitism. Maybe someday you'll realize you're a bigoted hypocrite, but I don't think at this moment you have the type of intellectual courage for the self-reflection that requires.

Where would you like me to begin with your false statements? Perhaps your implication that there ever was a charge of deicide from the Church to the Jewish people. It has literally never been a formalized teaching that the Jewish people were forever (or until conversion) blamed to be the cause of Jesus' death. In fact, that would be inherently heretical. The sacrifice of the Son of God for our eternal life was God's plan.
