Rand Paul filibusters Brennan nomination for CIA director

I will speak today until the president responds and says, No, we wont kill Americans in cafes. No, we wont kill you at home at night, Mr. Paul said early on in the filibuster, which began at 11:47 a.m. and by early afternoon showed no signs of slowing down.

I'd be more concerned with bladder control. Pee breaks are not allowed. In case you are wondering if thats whats going on during these very long "questions" being asked of Paul, they are only to give him a breather from talking, thats it.

Paul can't leave the desks, he cant step down into the well, he cant keep food on his desk, he can't leave to go to the bathroom, and he can't sit down.

My wife and I both own guns. Keep my 9mm in a safe in my top dresser drawer. Hold on, I'll be right back. Someone's knocking on the door.

Random Senate fact: the candy that Rand's been occasionally getting from aides comes from the Senate candy desk (Desk #95 in the senate chamber, in the back on the Republican side), a 48 year old tradition. The candy desk is always maintained by the Republicans, Senator Kirk of Illinois is currently in charge of keeping it stocked.

I love the Ted Cruz Twitter sessions. They make for a great break.
