It's time we ban pitbulls

Enough is enough. These dogs are way too strong & unpredictable. Plus, they are normally owned by the wrong people. Deadly combo right there.

This latest pitbull attack is absolutely heartbreaking.

A 14-month-old Wisconsin boy has died after a brutal attack by a pair of pit bulls, authorities said on Thursday.
Police received a call from Susan Iwicki, 30, on Wednesday saying that she and the young boy were being attacked by the dogs, according to local NBC affiliate WMTV. Iwicki told police that she and the boy had each sustained injuries.

The boy died of his injuries at a Milwaukee area hospital later on Wednesday, the Walworth County sheriff’s office said, according to The Associated Press.
The boy had the “biggest eyes, great smile,” family friend Valerie Brylow told local affiliate WTMJ. “He was a great little boy.”
“He is adorable, absolutely adorable,” Nicole Jennison, another family friend told the station.
The boy’s name has not been released, and an investigation continues. Both of the pit bulls were removed from the property and euthanized on Wednesday, WMTV reported.
The fatal dog attack was the first in Wisconsin in a decade, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

A pitbull attacked someone = let's ban pitbulls.

An automatic gun killed someone = let's ban guns

How about stupid people own pitbulls and guns = we should ban stupid people

Politicians won't make a law to ban themselves!

Dogs seem like real life superheroes sometimes with the things they can sense and how far they'll go to save their family. Doesn't mean Tator Tot won't kill their son 3 yrs from now but let's give him the bbenefit of the doubt, and even if he does the rescue and the murder will cancel each other out lol. I love pitbulls btw but you are taking a chance just like with any animal, only difference is these animals are deadly if they happen to snap for no reason,or I should say reasons we don't know since they obviously can sense things we can't. Maybe they only kill future mass murderers of other human beings.

Sooooo...moving to place where I share a fence with a couple of pitbulls. I will have my own dogs in the backyard: a shih tzu and a husky.

The fence isn't real tall (about 4 feet), but the dogs are kept on leads in the yard, so they can't reach the fence.

Owner was giving them a nice bath today so they seem to be well treated. I got barked at but they didn't seem to want to tear my head off...it was pretty casual "hi human" barking.

Any reasons for concern? Will probably try to meet their owner and the dogs if possible.

You need to assert dominance. Jump the fence screaming and run straight at one. When you get to it jump down right in its face with yours.

That usually works.

As long as you aren't scared of dogs who smile a lot....you should be fine.

I actually have no fear of dogs whatsoever, due to the fact that I was raised around a doberman.

Which is what concerns me. I'm liable to try and make friends with the beasts, go to give them a snack one day and they try to take my hand off.

Also if the ****ing husky jumps the fence he's dead meat.

Feed them the shih tzu as a peace offering. Men shouldn't own those sorts of dogs. Those are for widows.

That was posted 3-1/2 years ago, so it's likely he accidentally walked in front of a bus by now.
