He wants to repeal the Civil Rights Act, so he will be a hit in places that would to bring back segregation.

No he spoke about his stand on that but said it's not on the table to be repealed.

I expect to see the GOP Establishment aka Leadership to do everything they can to derail a Rand Paul nomination and to push a Jeb Bush/Rubio ticket. It will like it was when Reagan tried to wrest the nomination from this wing of the party.

You're welcome to say that. I don't begrudge anyone their opinion.

From my vantage, the Republicans need to find a way to fold libertarians into the party to solidify their base. After that, they need to find a way to market themselves to moderates, as well as convince democrats to lean this way.

Rand Paul showed this weekend that he has the chops to do all of that. And not only that, he did it in a way that left the Republican establishment stunned and confused and pulling in two directions. You have Mitch McConnell basically forced to support Rand, and McCain and Lindsey Graham calling the libertarians who just got elected "Kookoo birds."

The proof that Rand is in the lead will come when Jeb, Rubio and Christie start sounding like Rand.

Well even Mitt sounded like Paul on some points but I doubt it was sincere. Same with Jeb and Christie...and somewhat for Rubio.

I will be surprised if Christie does. For some reason when I think of him I think of McCain.

And unless I am missing something, Rubio and Paul are not that far off on the issues.
