Greg Rosenthal's updated (Mar 9) Free Agency Rankings

Top 85 free agents:

"This year's free-agent crop is a lot like this year's draft class: It's not that exciting at the top, but there is better depth than usual.

Ranked below: My top 85 free agents set to hit the market. Why 85? I want to leave room to add players who will get cut before free agency starts on March 12. This will be an ever-changing list until then. Originally, we had guys like Joe Flacco, Ryan Clady, Henry Melton, and Dwayne Bowe at the top of this list. We've since removed seven of our top 11 players them because of long-term deals and franchise tag designations getting doled out.

This is not a list of the 85 players who will make the most money. It's the list of players I'd want, divided into five tiers."

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Yeah, I agree and mentioned this back in January.

Reggie Bush, Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe would be difficult matchups for the rest of the league. Add in a speedy WR and talented TE and this offense is a bomb ready to explode.

The Chicago Tribune says a "half-dozen" teams have expressed interest in free agent LB Nick Roach.
Some clubs are calling to talk to Roach about playing middle linebacker, a position he played for the final four games of last season in Brian Urlacher's absence. The soon-to-be 28-year-old is a middling talent, but he can play both the run and the pass. Ideally, he'd play strong-side linebacker. The Bears want Roach back.

Now that he can play OLB, what about Freeney on the cheap? If he isnt totally shot he'd make nice depth and bring some rush skills with him.

All we'd need is someone to trigger the bomb.

Outside of O-Line, free agency is pretty much a sucker's market.
I would add Barwin in those names as well regardless of the amateur critics of his play who really don't realize how Barwin has contributed significantly to Watts success.

No shit.

If we're going to have a short passing game, we need a couple guys who can make noise even with packed boxes.

Charles and Bush can both carry the ball 20 times a game and can both carry the ball between the tackles.
