What the ****ing ****? This pisses me off immensely.

The government sees fit to cut tuition assistance for soldiers:

I thought this was the republican ideal?

The top guys score the workers pay the price. Sounds like Rand is at work already.

I'm not a republican and I will never be in favor of taking away benefits for those who are in the service.

Now... seems that there were members of the Democratic party who had no problems with that either.

Well personally I don't have a problem with cutting benefits to veterans, its happened to every other worker group in the country. I think most government workers could use a fiscal haircut.

I do have a problem in a time of major budget deficit to vote themselves a bonus.

OK I have to ask, whats the story with the servicemen worship in this forum?

I mean they signed up for a job for which they are well compensated. It is potentially dangerous but probably no worse mortality than a 7-11 nite worker in the hood.

Why are they on a pedestal and worshiped by many as if they are gods walking the face of the earth? I appreciate their service but I appreciate the pilot of my plane when I fly too. What's the scoop?
