Obama poll numbers plummeting

Nice of them to rise just as the Election was about to take place (""I'm so glad we had that storm last week,The storm brought in possibilities for good politics," Chris Matthews)

McClatchy-Marist poll shows Obama tumbling in voters’ eyes

The national survey, conducted four months after Obama was re-elected with 51 percent of the popular vote, found 45 percent of voters approving of the way he’s handling his job and 48 percent disapproving.

That was down from a 50 percent approval rating in November and December, and the lowest since November 2011. It also was the first time that more people disapproved of his work than approved since November 2011, when his rating was 43-50.

Obama’s personal popularity also has declined, with 48 percent of voters having favorable impressions of him and 48 percent having unfavorable impressions. That was down from 53-44 in December.

Well this is why Obama was re-elected:
Obama’s winning tactic was to do what any respectable man does when he wishes to have something; he bought it. From cell phones and contraceptives to food stamps and unemployment benefits, the Obama administration kept the money flowing to ensure a steady turnout on Election Day. The coup de grâce was painting his opponent as a second coming of Dickens’ Scrooge that was ready to cut the voters from their trust funds.

The campaign made no attempt to hide this tactic.
The moochers won. FDR did similar things. All this talk about how much a factor the demographics changed was propaganda. People can be bought. And Acorn-like activity of more voters in some areas than registered votes assisted it.

So looks like people are disapproving of both Ds and Rs in Congress as well as Obama. But there's a decent uptick toward Congressional Rs over what it was.

This type of thinking is why the Rs lost.

Lots of BS here, but I love the cell phone comment. The program started by Reagan, extended to cell phones by W Bush, is somehow an Obama thing.

The reason Romney lost was the changed demos. He got the same portion fo white voters that Reagan did in 1980 and Bush Sr did in 1988 blowout wins. The GOP has to become more popular with hispanics obviously, but less mentioned was the abysmal performance with Asians. The other two won them but Romney got only 1/4 of them. I'm not entirely sure why but it's not a good trend even though they're only 5% of the voters.

True or not, that's the apparent impression of at least one of his supporters:

Probably because he comes across as a lily white douche to minorities.

I think some of the demos apply just not as much as touted. I think the election was also much closer too.

Not following. The share in 2012 was identical to 1988, save for the composition. I don't see how that can be ignored.

Because he bought the election and there was some fraud in some areas.
