Co-Dem...Possibly dumbest person ever elected???

Dem Congresswoman Mocks Concerned Pro-Gun Senior Citizen: ‘You’d Probably Be Dead Anyway’

During a public forum on national gun control legislation hosted by the Denver Post editorial board on Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.) mocked a concerned pro-gun senior citizen when he expressed his fears regarding how gun control will affect his ability to defend himself.

Among the scheduled panelists at the forum were DeGette, Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.), Republican state Sen. Kevin Lundberg, and Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith, according to the Denver Post.

“My question is: What about me?” the Denver citizen asked Rep. DeGette, arguing against limiting magazine capacity. “There may not be one bad guy that comes into my house… I have to change magazines? I am a serious disadvantage.”

“What about me?” he repeated.

After arrogantly smirking at his question, DeGette replied: “The good news for you, you live in Denver. The [Denver Police Department] would be there within minutes.”

“You’d probably be dead anyway if they had that kind of firepower,” she added.

As Revealing Politics notes, Degette also seemingly revealed her lack of knowledge about ammunition magazines during the same public meeting.

Allison Sherry of the Denver Post writes:

Asked how a ban on magazines holding more than 15 rounds would be effective in reducing gun violence, DeGette said:

“I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

It sounds like she doesn't know the magazines get reloaded. Its like she's confusing them with a publication magazine like News Week. She probably only reads the issue once.

This was the best part. After being called out for being an idiot, this communist twat's spokesperson fired back with this little gem:

http://blogs.denverpost.com/thespot/...ey-work/93506/

“The Congresswoman has been working on a high-capacity assault magazine ban for years, and has been deeply involved in the issue; she simply misspoke in referring to ‘magazines’ when she should have referred to ‘clips,’ which cannot be reused because they don’t have a feeding mechanism,” Johnson said. “Quite frankly, this is just another example of opponents of common-sense gun violence prevention trying to manipulate the facts to distract from the critical issue of keeping our children safe and keeping killing machines out of the hands of disturbed individuals. It’s more political gamesmanship that stands in the way of responsible solutions.”

SINCE WHEN CAN A CLIP NOT BE RELOADED?

The sad part is the opposition is so mindlessly, utterly ****ing stupid, but unfortunately so are the people who listen to them. Stupid bitch probably thinks our weapons are all fully automatic, and that our laser sights will cut through solid steel, too.

Apparently there are no minimum intelligence requirements to hold office in Colorado. Hell, anywhere, for that matter.

It astonishes me how so many black people think they 'can not' be racist because they seem to think racism requires some kind of authority.

It doesn't require any authority. That's oppression, not racism. Racism is easy. Everyone is racist.

I had a class in college called Blacks in Film. An entire chapter of the textbook (which was written by the professor's friend) was a lengthy explanation of why black people can't be racist. Like 25 pages worth.

He had multiple choice questions like, "Blue Collar white people are racist because:" on the final exam.

I had the same kind of issue with a women's study class. I reported the text book to the dean and it was removed from the class.
