Why did Obama not call the Boston bombings an act of terrorism?

Regardless of who did it, it was a clear act of terrorism. Why did he not call it for what it is?

I listened to Savage a little on the way home from the gym and heard reports that the Boston Police are furious that he (Obama) did not call it terrorism

Also there are reports that they have a Saudi National under lockdown in a hospital and there is a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) for a "dark skinned foreign national" which apparently the media is also not reporting.

No matter how politically correct one may be, you cannot pretend terrorism does not exist and you cannot pretend this was not such an act regardless of whom the perp is.

They are? Really? Even though the BPD isn't definitely calling it a terrorist attack yet?

Wow, that's strange. Or Savage is ****ing wrong. One or the other.

CNN noted that Obama didn't use the word...

Obama doesn't say 'terror'

Notably absent from his remarks was the word "terror," though federal investigators are classifying the bombings as a terror event. It is not clear if it's from a domestic or foreign source, a federal law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation said.

That's fine, the definition of terrorism seems to be something that no one else can agree on either. I think its useful to have a word to distinguish political violence from the actions of some random psychopath like James Holmes.

Meanwhile, CNN and Esquire magazine blamed the 'right wing' for Boston Marathon bombing.
I saw a left-wing poster hint this could be done by a right wing group yesterday. This is the type of thing the SPLC is good at doing.

Nope.

Just another Chiefs fan who is completely fed up, who feels conpelled to the DC section over the past couple of weeks.

Sick of having the liberal agenda forced down my throat like some giant chocolate penis rape.

Sick of hearing pussies whine about 'being offended' and 'feeling bad', the sense of entitlement, etc.

Unfathomable that while the media creates stories like the recent gay rights BULLSHIT, Trayvon 'Thuggin'' Martin, Casey Anthony, etc and outright Co-opts perpetration in incidents such as the Sandy Hook and the Boston Bombing, there are REAL stories swept under the rug - like the MPA or Dr. Kermit on trial in Penn - and not only do people not know about, but THEY DON'T CARE, because 'if it was important, it would be on TV.'

The two DUMBEST things any American could EVER think is :

'Our government wouldn't do that.'

AND

'If they did, we would know, because it would be on TV.'

Good luck.

They're suggesting the possibility of a right wing extremist group.

Let me think why. Oh, wait, never mind, that's ****ing intuitively obvious. If it ain't some Islamic nutbag it's usually a right wing nutbag. There's plenty of left wing nutbags, of course, but they usually don't blow things up as part of their program of nuttery.

Hopefully we'll find out soon enough what brand of evil nutbag did this, and then hang him by his/their testicles.

Oh, and did you see how I did that? I'm also assuming they're male. Wonder why? Oh, wait, because that is also ****ing intuitively obvious. Not that it's impossible it was a female left-wing nutbag, but how much would anyone really bet on that?

Right, so you're in the CoMoChief brand of nutbag, not the Crapski brand. I've made my mental note. Feel free to carry on.

Truth.

I also think it's important that we just call things what they are.

The Boston Bombing was a terrorist attack.

Yep, it's word that is political and contains subjectivity. Look at Norwegian Anders Brevik who gunned down dozens of teenagers and set off a bomb in central Oslo based on political motivations for a political goal. He was anti-Muslim and pro-Israel. So he was not a terrorist but a "mass murderer."

Why are so many idiots fixated on the description? Lives were lost and we still don't know who did it, and you're focusing on the specifics of how Obama describes the incident? Good grief.

Do you think the families of the victims care whether Obama calls it a bomb or a "Terrorist" bomb?

It's nothing but a meaningless spoon-fed descriptor that has been used to personify our anonymous enemy when we're unable or unwilling to assign blame. A catch all term for a faceless enemy, and it does nothing to clarify or help describe the situation. It's pathetic that people think it makes a difference in anything.

left-wing nutjobs shoot up theatres and shoot a bunch of kids at elementary schools.

Because people on the left are PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PUSSIES.

yeah...

I don't trust the government...so I'm a nutjob.

Everything I've stated is 100% accurate, btw.

You wanna talk MPA or Dr. Kermit??

Of course not.

It's not on CNN.
