Searching is (back on)

As those of you who have been here a while know, using the search feature is one of the most server-intensive processes there is. We have a potential solution that we'll hopefully be able to put in place once AustinChief is able to get us upgraded to vBulletin, but in the meantime, we just have to live with it.

However, given that this place is gonna be rockin for the next few days, I've I've turned searching off globally for now. Once things die down again, we'll turn it back on.

Those 2011 ones were all because of Joey's contest, so those are a bit of an outlier, but the 2009 and 2010 drafts were pretty solid.

Fascinating…..I guess the Sept dates in 08, 09 and 12 were home opener games?

This is a worse tragedy than the Kansas City Chiefs' 2013 NFL Draft

If that happens the tags will get shut down and the ban hammer will come out. If people have fun and don't go full dipshit there won't be any problems.

Search is back on. Still, don't go crazy with it. It still has a tendency of killing the server.

I don't recall the specifics, but I think it was something to the effect of "who can get the most posts in their thread in 24 hours" or something like that.
