Yep, Alex Smith is here to stay.

Hard to swallow.

What a horrible draft. Glad I didn't stick around for the whole thing. I would have wasted valuable time. Reid is a complete moron. Never go all in on a guy like Alex Smith. Your offseason is a complete joke.

That's all

So we take a guy like Sanchez and you're okay with it because he hasn't took one snap for the Chiefs?

Yeah I'm not buying any momentum explanations. This is the unfazable Patriots, they are immune to that BS. When the Pats lose, like last night, it's because somebody physically smacked their technician OL in the mouth. Pats Defensive front 7 got thrown around as well, the Kony Ealy debacle looms big right now. Chiefs took this game over at the LOS, plain and simple, they beat them bloody.

Sure we may make "progress" by winning an extra 4-5 games this year...which still puts us at a 7 win and very mediocre football team.

Yea, Go Chiefs!

It's pretty clear at this point that Alex was the best move we could have made unless we were going to hope for another 2-14 season next year. As long as they don't give him an extension before he shows that he doesn't suck, I'm fine with it.

No, he's been in the league for 8 years and has proven that's he's nothing more than a mediocre QB. We've had plenty of time to watch him suck and know what is coming.

He hasn't showed he sucks already?

Cassel played 1 year, and it was a decent year before being traded to the Chiefs. He was fairly unknown.

Alex Smith on the other hand has been in the league for 8 years and hasn't done shit.

Damn, and I was hoping we'd be the first team to ever go from 2-14 to Super Bowl winner in a year.
