****Official Royals Vs Rays Gamethread 5/2****

Guthrie on the mound. Lets get the brooms out

Bad Mojo here, but I think I'm 0-4 in gamethreads for a sweep over the last 2 years. But I need to get the first loss of the year out of the way

Are you sure? How can they take away a home game? Seems that would be a real disadvantage to teams in rainy cities.

We would bat the bottom of the 4th and if we had the lead after Tampa batted in the top of the 5th, the game would be official. No need for us to bat the bottom of the 5th.

The Royals had the lead, they only needed to get thru 3 more outs in the top of the 5th

Tampa doesn't come back to KC this year. Based on open dates and CBA rules on how many days teams can play in a row, odds are we're gonna be making it up in Tampa. Similar situation in Boston earlier this year. It's why they tried like hell to get the game in today. If they were coming back to KC this year, or this wasn't get away day, this game never would have started.

I think the only way we play it is if we end up tied at the end of the season for a playoff spot.
