Ice Cream Bread

Gonna make this today.

Quote:
This is a very simple sweet bread. It sounds crazy, but yes, it really works! You can use any flavor of ice cream, just make sure itís not low- or non-fat.

2 cups Ice Cream
1-Ĺ cup Self-Rising Flour

Stir together ice cream and flour, stirring just until flour is moistened. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8◊4 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean. Remove from the pan, and cool on a wire rack.

Here's recipe. Don't ask me what I'm doing surfing newlyweds.com.

http://www.newlyweds-blog.com/2011/0...e-cream-bread/

Ingredients:

2 cups of your favorite ice cream, softened

1 and 1/2 cups of self rising flour

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8◊4 inch loaf pan.

Mix the ice cream and flour together in a bowl just until combined. Smooth it out so it looks even. Bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool for a while and then serve.

Recipe Tip: For best results, use full-fat ice cream.

It should also be noted that some flavors of bread will come out stronger tasting then others. For a bolder and not so plain flavor…it is recommended to go with bold flavors of ice cream such as peanut butter or butter pecan. Don’t forget, you can also add extra ingredients into the mix to make it less plain and more flavorful. Experiment and have fun with it!

We do a beer bread that is essentially the same. Beer, self-rising flour, melted butter on top. Perfection.

You know I like my bomb munchies at certain times in the day.

I'm assuming you melt the ice cream before you stir it up with the flour?
