Dear God, apparently I didn't extend Jordan Cameron this offseason.

Just a quick question.....I'm sure it's been answered before.

We can sign as many FAs as we want and then cut down before the deadline? Correct? We would just lose out on any money for that year?

You might want to consider matching his offer.

Yeah, more or less. I think, though, that we'll enforce a roster limit of 80 or so, just so people don't bid $1 on a horde of people and have a 200-person roster. 80's about a typical training camp roster, though cdcox will make the final call.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking about going up to 100 or anything. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get penalized for going over 53.

Nothing to worry about. You get the option to beat the top bid (by at least 1 contract year) and retain him.

I don't know anybody that would even think of doing such a thing.

I bet that guy has 200+ free agents that he's highlighted and has all of 90 salary points to spend.

He's probably going to be disappointed when Free Agency is over.

I don't know what that means but it sounds bad so **** you!

So basically ill end up having to give the guy a max contract in order to keep him? Dude is like 23 and obviously a stud. I can deal with giving him a stellar deal. Especially given his TE pay scale.

I think you need to be able to outbid his max bid to retain the guy so you may need to save some of your money. He's got quite a warchest.

How long does a previous owner get to decide whether or not to reclaim one of his free agents with a trump bid? In other words, if you win a free agent, when can you safely assume that the previous owner won't reclaim him and that he's actually yours (for purposes of considering that hole in your roster filled, for example)?

24 hours. The player will also show your team name in both the "current team" and "high bidder" columns of the Awarded Free Agents table, and will appear on your team roster once the deal is finalized.
