Rubio can bag it along with FatChristie

http://washingtonexaminer.com/marco-...rticle/2531504

In a Spanish-language interview Sunday with the network Univision, Sen. Marco Rubio, the leading Republican on the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform group, made his strongest statement yet that legalization of the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants must happen before any new border security or internal enforcement measures are in place, and will in no way be conditional on any security requirements.

“Let’s be clear,” Rubio said. “Nobody is talking about preventing the legalization. The legalization is going to happen. That means the following will happen: First comes the legalization. Then come the measures to secure the border. And then comes the process of permanent residence.”

Typical Washington, typical politician. They concoct elaborate ways to do nothing. And garner votes in the process. That is all they care about.

Rubio had so much potential. But he can eat a bag of dicks if his idea is to legalize 11 million law breakers and Do NOT ONE DAMN THING to stop the next wave of 5 million illegal Mexicans who will swarm the border as soon as they can get to it to suck at the new fresh tit of US taxpayers.

Rubio tried to be the next McCain. Why, I have no idea, since McCain was killed in the general election and had to select Palin to rally the GOP base. Now that Rubio knows he made a horribly stupid decision to go all-in on amnesty, he's trying to backpedal.

Doesn't matter, damage to his career has already been done. He's finished now as a national candidate. What a moron.

You guys always think that, but the last R nominee was a former pro-choice, pro-gay rights, dancing horse-owning Mormon who invented mandatory health insurance.

True, and your nominee was a gay marriage opponent who "believed in an awesome God" (direct quote) and who promised to close Gitmo while cutting military spending and rolling back affronts to civil liberties, all while making love not drone wars. Plus he uses the Fed govt to go after pot too.

I got your point. And you are correct. The nomination process does not sort out the best nor the most electable for either side. It comes close. And it is what it is. And it invites participation. One can only hope we can get lucky next time and not have what you hated so much in GWB and what many despise in BHO.

With BHO's numbers about where old Georges were, it does not say much for how well we did in this last election or 4

Mitt Romney wasn't elected because people didn't like him. Not because of his politics. If anything, the RNC neutering of Romney and forcing him to tow the party line is what lost it for him.

But by all means, we should all operate under the illusion that the winning platform is to have such disdain for women, gay, and Hispanics that the party lose them entirely.

That is such a joke. The progressives in the party don't even offer an alternative to the Democratic party. It's just the same ole, same ole. Yet, you love it. There's a reason people per polls are not happy with the direction of the country under the Progressive Republicans under Bush and the hard-left under Obama.

Well, he did come across as a rich out-of-touch tool, but I'd say he lost because he wasn't a distinct enough choice away from Obama. Before his attempt at a hard-right turn to win the R base, the guy could have been a Democrat. You can't flip-flop that often, on so many big issues and have voters trust you.

And he owned an Olympic dancing horsey and doesn't recognize a donut.
