While you are looking at phone records and emails....

It's over 800 pages, no one has read it, it's expensive, and it's full of dirty tricks to increase democrat voters. Deja vu all over again. The video is 20 minutes but well worth it.

Surely your not all stupid. You see the demographic numbers. Whites are a minority in 2045. In 2025 there will be more non-white children under 5 than white kids. If you don't expand the party you will just be a regional party and soon after the 21st century Whig's.

How about doing it for the selfish reasons? We can't deport 11 million people. Thats just not realistic. And even it was, what if they resist? Talk about a cluster****. The American people will not stand for it after they start seeing the scenes on TV.

How about doing it for the economy? We need the majority of those 11 million people to do the jobs we won't do. If they were smart they would strike until immigration reform is passed. When there are sparse vegetables and fruit in the grocery store and construction is at a standstill we would see how valuable they are to the economy. We get 11 million new tax payers that will pay fines and taxes for years before they get any benefits.

Illegal immigration from Mexico is basically zero right now. Now is the time to do reform. If the republicans don't get on board........ well the Whigs were big back in the day too.
There are many in the republican party who support immigration reform if it is done the right way.

Ted Cruz really explains that this bill is really all about partisan politics. I'm all for immigration reform if it secures the border, expands the work visa program, and ensures that people can't come here for welfare. I don't want to deport the people already here, but they do not deserve a special path to citizenship to reward them for breaking our immigration laws.

The bill in the Senate does not do any of those things intelligently.

I'd really like to hear a liberal's retort to what Ted Cruz has to say.

I believe it's KCNative thinks he is far more intelligent than Ted Cruz who he believes is a moron. Of course KCNative must be smarter than Alan Dershowitz who said that Cruz “was an outstanding student in my class, Without a doubt he is among the smartest students I’ve ever had… I’ve had great students but he has to be at the top of anyone’s short list, in terms of raw brain power.”

Our immigration laws that we have now are fine. What we have is an enforcement problem.

Im sure the guy who did the training at the Mens Washroom Attendant Academy felt KCNative had a very bright future as well in his chosen area of work.

I think it's up to a private employer—actually any employer. None of us are equally endowed with the same abilities even when we are doing the same job. You're making an equality argument which is a socialist/Marxist argument.

This is not the govt's business to meddle anyway.

I'd go into how there really is no substantial difference in pay between men and woman if they don't leave the job market to raise kids for a time. Those statistics on woman's pay do not account for the fact that they make different career choices. Choices where they are more likely to have schedule flexibility so they can raise their children. I just don't feel like getting into a long argument over this right now, as I don't have the time....and already have done it.

Goebbels,

Once again, you don't need to round up and deport anyone. That line is more worn out than a $2 hookers snatch and you know it's bullshit.

You enforce the laws of employment, social benefits, financial regulation and these invaders who feel they're above the law will leave the same way they arrived. On their own.

The current "reform" is like asking the entire nation of Canada to move to the US. Where these jobs coming from?

He knows that already. That worthless fat **** takes that stance because most if not all of them will vote Democrat when given the chance. If they were likely to vote Republican that shitbag and the rest of the loyal leftwingers would be screaming to the rafters to have them rounded up~

Jobs may come easy. As I understand it, they will NOT qualify for HC under ObamaCare for a period of time. Thus, employers would be ahead of the game for the jobs these Mexicans can do, to let the long term gringo citizen go,and hire the newly legal illegal. Bueno!

Is requiring non discrimination in the workplace against minorities and requiring equal pay for them a socialist/Marxist argument? If not, how is that situation different than the one you described prior? If you do consider it socialist, is it a bad thing?

thx for posting -- Betsy is one of only a few democrats left that has any sense of intelligence in her views. She governed in my home state sometime back.

At one point in this, she points out the USC was written on only eighteen pages, and there's no good reason to write a single bill contained in 800 plus pages. I concur and I will add they do this to make it difficult for others to decipher all the abusive bureaucratic legislation within the language.

Once illegals become legalized, do you really think they'll still want to do the jobs that we won't do?

They're going to look for middle class jobs, at a time when there are already millions of Americans out of work looking for middle class jobs.

Especially with the Dream Act. Hey, Kissinger, says "we're creating an international" society. I just wonder who he means by "we?"
