We have a real problem

OK. The following is an email I recieved, I called the number it gives and it appears to be true. If these Muslims take control of our political offices we are going to be in for the fight of our lives. This is not good! Michigan has a Muslim in their congress and thats what THEY plan to do is take over our government.

Here is the main context : I actually called the Michigan Dept. of Human Services, and yes, option 3 is Arabic! I went to the website for them in the link below and sure enough, on the right side of the page, there is an application for food assistance PDF file in English, Spanish and Arabic! I opened the file to see for myself and it’s there alright. Have we gone completely nuts!!?...

Muslim men are allowed to have as many as 4 wives. Many Muslims have immigrated into the U.S. and brought their 2-3-or 4 wives with them, but the U.S. does not allow multi-marriages, so the man lists one wife as his, and signs the other 2 or 3 up as extended family on welfare and other free Government programs!

So now in Michigan when you call the Public Assistance office you are told to “Press 1 for English. Press 2 for Spanish, or Press 3 for Arabic”! Here is the number 1-888-678-8914

Muslims are good people. They never agitate or become belligerent and violent and they always peacefully assimilate wherever they go.

True. Same with Christians. I mean just look at history and how Christians treated every group they encountered.

If you go back far enough in history, you can certainly find Christian cultures of violence and brutal antagonism. The problem with your comparison is that you find those things in some Islamic cultures TODAY.

If there were sects of Christians in existence today that practiced their religion with the violence and antipathy toward non-believers the way that was common several centuries ago, there's no doubt that today's mainline Christiandom would condemn it and cooperate fully with efforts to marginalize and eradicate it.

There's no excuse to be found in a comparison to Christianity for the violent Islamic culture prevalent today in some parts of the world.

On the contrary, the fact that you have to look at history instead of finding widespread examples today proves that it's NOT the same with Christians.

The problem with his argument is that he's using historical examples of religious groups using violence and intolerance to exert their will as some sort of argument against a person saying a religious group would use violence and intolerance to exert its will.

So, God only know what he thinks he's accomplishing.

Islamic culture is not violent in general in itself. This is propaganda. Any people will fight and use violence to throw off outside occupiers, controllers and oppressors.

The idea they are natively violent stems from Christians and Muslims historically fighting one another. They are no different regarding fighting their heretics (Sunni Shia divide) than the Protestants and Christians or Christians and Jews.

Gotta disagree. Every where on the planet in the history of civilization that Islam has appeared, as soon as they got the numbers high enough they began to agitate and become belligerent towards their neighbors. Whenever they become the majority, all minorities are violently subjugated.

Every time, every place.
