Another reason to use online pharm. Obots hanging out at Drug Store

CVS Caremark is joining the effort to encourage Americans to sign up for Obamacare insurance programs, company executives announced Thursday.

CVS officials told POLITICO that they’re planning to use pharmacies at their 7,400 North American stores as a gateway for the uninsured to learn about new coverage options — especially subsidized insurance coverage available to low-income people on state-based insurance exchanges.

“Half of people who are eligible for a subsidy don’t know they’re eligible,” Helena Foulkes, chief health care strategy and marketing officer at CVS Caremark, said in an interview.

Foulkes said CVS pharmacies would invite trained “navigators” into their stores to help eligible people sign up for exchanges. The company also plans to plug the health law at 375 health care fairs around the country, particularly in areas with high rates of uninsured people and large minority populations.

Seems like "herder" would be a more appropriate term than "navigator."

Bad news y'all, I just researched this a little and apparently the National Alliance of Community Pharmacists, a trade group for small community pharmacists, is also developing plans to promote obamacare and help their customers sign up.

No they most certainly are NOT. They have a website explaining things and some materials available in store but that is far from having Obamacare goons roaming the stores.

They may yet go that route along with CVS but as of right now that is not in the works.
