Simple choice.

I have no idea what "being weak with Putin" actually means.

If there was a "showdown" between the US and Russia, it isn't going to be settled in a back alley. I'm pretty sure they both have a decent ability to order military attacks. Frankly, if you're judging on the ability and willingness to strike at the enemy, Obama is the badass here.
Obama has been rolled repeatedly by foreign heads of state and he's the least respected POTUS we've had in a long time. He can order a drone strike in lawless lands, and that's great, but it's also easy.

Because of the assault on OBL?

Putin gassed an entire theater of hostages to prove a point.

Yeah, that's clearly the best leader right there.

I can't think of a single aspect of leadership that I would prefer Putin over Obama.

Well wait, I can think of one: Putin's approval rating is somewhere in the low 70s. If by "leadership" you mean "getting the most people to want you to be the leader," then he's got Obama beat there, as he does pretty much every American President in the modern era.
Who would you rather have leading in a state-to-state confrontation or negotiation? I'd take Putin.

But Obama is no pacifist. Snowden is just a card that fell into Putin's lap.

If the roles were reversed, and a Russian version of Snowden fell into Obama's lap, there's little doubt this dance would basically be the same the other way around.
I don't either. The right-wingers seem to favor Putin because he comes across as a badass.

You're high.

When anybody wants anything done internationally, they reach out to the United States.

Russia is not seen as a serious player in anything other than matters that directly affect Russia.

Well we have a good example of Obama being weak with Putin's puppet here. Unless, of course, Obama wanted the same thing as the Russians wrt US disarmament.

Obama wanted the same thing as Putin, yes. That's what a treaty is.

So... Obama must therefore be weaker, because of course he is?
