Georgia GOP: Paula Deen > MLK

I wonder if any of the respondents knew they were being trolled.....

Quote:
According to a new poll by the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling, Republicans in Georgia have a more favorable opinion of Paula Deen than they do of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Favorability ratings with Georgia Republicans: Paula Deen 73/11, Martin Luther King Jr. 59/28

Deen, of course, was dropped by the Food Network after admitting that “yes, of course” she used the N-word, and amid other allegations of racism by former employees.

I don't care about her, but most of the outrage and jokes about her is people basically going, "Look at me! I'm not racist! See, I'm making fun of a racist!"

I'm kinda getting to the point where the more people tell me not to say that word, the more I want to say it.

If people, not really aware of MLK or what he stood for, group him in with today's "Black Leaders" like Sharton and Jackson, I can see him losing just about every popularity poll.

Polls say whatever the **** the person who came up with the poll wants them to say. What was the sample size? What, exactly, was the question asked? etc.

And that's if they aren't just straight up lying about the results. Which I'm sure nobody ever does.

Hell, apparently NOBODY really cares about MLK or his message, because the clownshow that passes for race relations going on in the media is about as far from what he was talking about as you can get.

Can you blame them? MLK never showed me the deliciousness of putting a bacon hamburger patty between two glazed donuts.

I WILL guess that they weren't even polled. What narrative would that promote?

Salacious pageviews, that's all we are to 'journalists' anymore. Get them het up, get them to click, collect SEO $$, chuckle at your charity dinners.

Maybe they should poll 1,000 African Americans about who is more influential, Jay Z or Abe Lincoln. And then see what happens. I wonder, if Jay Z rated higher, if people like you would say the poll was conducted out of a desire to stereotype a group of people in a negative and unfair way.

Why should Paula Dean have a less favorable rating than any political activist?

Who would disapprove of her, other than the low IQ set who take their news very casually?

Someone who finds her personality to be irritating?

Or someone outside the low IQ set who considers their nutritional information seriously?
