Obama: ObamaCare will be cheaper than your cell phone bill

President Obama signaled in an exclusive interview with radio hosts Tom Joyner and Sybil Wilkes that Martin Luther King Jr. would have liked his health care plan for Americans.

Obama spoke to the pair in the Oval Office to recognize the 50th anniversary of Kings March on Washington.

What do you think hed say about Obamacare? asked Joyner, when discussing Kings legacy.

Oh hed like that, Obama asserted. Well, because he understood that health care, health security is not a privilege, its something in a county as wealthy as ours, everybody should have access to.

Obama reminded the pair that it was important for everyone to sign up for Obamacare on healthcare.gov.

"We were just talking with some folks earlier about the fact that, for a lot of people, it will be cheaper than your cell phone bill," Obama explained.

Mine is $40 but closer to $100 for me and the kids. My insurance is still substantially higher than that. If Obamacare was truly lower than my cell bill and offered the coverage I receive now, I'd be all over it.

Most people spend over $100/month. I know many families who pay over $200/month.
I pay about $8 a month for my cell service, that includes taxes and everything. Its really not that hard if you dont talk on the phone very much. Sign up for a cheap pay as you go service and buy an unlocked smartphone off amazon. I pay 2 cents a text, 10 cents a minute for talk, and a small amount for data, and it really doesn't add up to much unless you are constantly on the phone.

"If you don't talk on the phone very much" doesn't really apply to the majority though. The average US teenager alone sends over 3000 texts a month....

I miss my Nokia.
Sure, it was a tumor causing, plain, no texting, old man phone but when my friends and I would go fishing at some remote spot on the river Id be the only one with enough signal to make and receive calls.

And a lot of people that spend over $100 a month on their cell phone don't have any money in the bank.

If he is just talking about the government tax he could be right for some, but the total health care cost will be much greater. Of course I'm just talking to the wind because Obama knows he is talking out is *ss.
