Hillary, Hillary!

Two more years the battle of presidential election will begin again. Hillary is making the move.

What do you think her chance?

More important, if she becomes POTUS, will Willie move back to the White House?

What a giant leap backwards for womankind if that woman becomes president. She embodies "stand by your man"

That's not something I had considered, but I can see how Hillary as POTUS would be a slap in the face to a lot of women.

She's the clear favorite. I don't know which democrat could displace her. There's no way that the Republican Party can produce a viable presidential candidate without a massive rebranding, and that could take a good 12-16 years if it ever happens at all.

No Democrat will displace her. There probably won't be another candidate even running against her.

However, I think Christie/Rubio is the ticket that wins in 2016. I think it'll be close, but he'll win by a solid percentage point.

I think you underestimate how quickly the party will pivot when Christie wins Super Tuesday in 2016.

The Party, I'm willing to bet, will go in on this guy. And they'll just pretend that the GOP of the past eight or so years is a thing of the distant past.

The Party largely warped itself overnight when Obama took the lead in the polls in the fall of 2008. It'll do the same thing with Christie.

Will it be sloppy? Yes. Will it be disingenuous? Of course.

But Christie's track record will be too credible, and his persona too magnetic, for the country at large to really notice or care. And Rubio will win him Florida.

I'm calling it: Christie/Rubio is the winning ticket in November 2016.

Does it really matter? We'll either get Hillary or a Hillary clone with an "R" next to their name. I'd say the odds are overwhelmingly in Hillary's favor, though. I don't see the GOP surviving as a viable party for much longer unless they stop alienating voters under the age of 45 and adopt a libertarian platform.

I have been underwhelmed by Rubio's presence and speaking ability. He comes off as coltish and naive to me. My opinion wasn't formulated by the water bottle incident, I listened to him speak during the Rand filibuster and was unimpressed.

Then again Biden/Quayle/Gore/Mondale/Ford...all idiots. And, looking back, the ones that weren't idiots were crooked as all hell.

I agree. But let's not let that fog the fact that he's one of the most charismatic and best speakers in the party.

And while he's a down-the-line Tea Partier on everything else, his moderate stance on immigration will be completely embraced by Christie and the post-Obama GOP.

Plus, he's Hispanic, and from Florida. He's everything the GOP needs from a purely demographic standpoint.

The base won't be too happy, politically, with Christie/Rubio, but the second Christie does one of his verbal bodyslams, they'll jizz and forget why they hated him in the first place.

I am fond of Truman. So we've had three good VP's in the last 70 years.

Maybe. The R's need to do something different or they might as well just roll over and play dead.

It's going to be a really fun race, Hillary and Christie.

Both are politically intelligent people and, in their own ways, good speakers. Hillary's completely up to the job, and at this point is probably assured my vote of course. Christie, however, is incredibly charismatic and has a consistently moderate record, unlike the guy you folks ran in 2012.

I'm not looking forward to the inevitable misogyny and fat jokes, but I think either candidate would do an apt job with the country.
