Late night bullshit: Chiefs snap count vs. Jaguars.

Arrowhead Pride has the snapcounts of all the Chiefs who took the field.

Here it is.

Some of the interesting things to take away from it:

* McCluster is only playing half the offensive snaps. No wonder he's getting unhappy -- however, that seems to be the appropriate amount of time to use him, does it not?

* Hemingway only played 10% of the offensive snaps. His snapcount needs to go sky high, folks. Avery's playing 90% of the snaps, let's give him some of Avery's reps...

* Knile Davis got 5 more snaps than Cyrus Gray. More Gray!

* The most defensive snaps goes to: Kendrick Lewis. Like it or not, folks, the coaching staff loves Lewis, so he's not getting supplanted any time soon.

* Berry is down to "only" 90% of the defensive snaps.

* Abdullah and Demps are on the field more than 50% of the time. The Chiefs are playing their base defense less than 50% of the time, folks. DeVito and Jackson are both playing 47% and 39% of the downs, respectively.

* Romeo Crennel was not lying about Poe playing all three downs: he was on the field for 90% of them.

* As a result of the Chiefs going smaller more than 50% of the time (and you can only expect that to go up as they play actual QBs who can actually play), Catapano got more snaps than Tyson Jackson. Wow.

Lewis is fine if he can stay healthy. We all know what terrible safety play can do. Everyone can't be an all pro.

Pretty impressed with Catapano on Sunday.

Dude has a motor and some instincts. And it looks like he's got a frame to carry additional weight.

****ing Princeton.

Says a lot about Poe. Very difficult to have a Nose Tackle play 2 downs without getting gassed, let alone 3 downs on a day that hot.

I've always liked Lewis. He had a better rookie season than Berry and is much better against the pass. His only problem has been that shoulder. If he can stay healthy, I think he's much better than the "meh" "he's serviceable" shit that gets dropped around here.

I'm pretty sure no one even McCluster himself thought he would get much more than 50% of the offensive snaps.

Lewis is a fine coverage safety but hes somewhat limited by his lack of speed and his tackling is obviously poor.

Off-chiefs-topic, but how many offensive snaps did the Eagles run yesterday? I was watching the condensed version of the game and at around half time they said the Eagles had run something like 50 offensive plays, and the most in a game for the week so far was around 75. Just curious.

Give Hemingway McCluster's reps. Avery was purportedly getting open a lot downfield in the 2nd half.
