Why do Dems hate the individuals of this country?

Seriously? It's a simple question. Obama gives businesses a pass for a year on his cluster **** of a healthcare plan yet insists that us Serfs be forced to take part of said cluster ****.

And you cannot deny it's a cluster **** or it wouldn't be getting delayed for businesses, now would it?

So as the Repubs offer a bill that states if you delay it for business you delay it for individuals, the Dems say no.

Question is, Why? I thought the Dems were all about "the people" and what not?

That's not what I asked. You cannot answer this logically because it is an entire cluster **** and you know this. Yes, an issue or delay means delay it so i starts at the same time for everyone and everyone has time to understand this shit instead of making them deal with the cluster ****.

You know, it's not like they haven't had 3 years to get ready for this or anything. 3 years and they can't get their shit together yet some people think it is fair to force individuals into this cluster regardless.

To answer the OP; for the same reason Republicans hate the individuals of this country. Too hard to control. But by all means continue with your partisan bickering. Dance, monkey. Dance.

Anyway, the requirements of businesses and individuals are completely different and comparison of them (well, if you delay one, you should delay the other) is dumb.
1. They may not view it as a 'punishment' in the sense that they feel that it will be an overall benefit to society, but they certainly feel that it is an OBLIGATION of a member in good standing of said society. They may not 'hate' individuals, but they do feel that individuals must be coerced into enduring pain for the greater good.

2. To that end, treating businesses different from individuals isn't the issue, treating individuals who work for certain businesses different from individuals who don't, is.

Yep. Lots of repubs want to control individuals (online poker anyone? How about gay marriage?). Dems are just as bad (taking peoples money, village child raising, etc.)

Both parties have their control freaks, and both want to control the people to some point.

Unfortunately, people are either too lazy, or have become too dependent on government, that they take their rights for granted. Personal and privacy rights are under constant attack.

How exactly is 'gay marriage' control over individuals?

Pro or con, the issue is completely about what THE STATE thinks of how you live your life.

Deciding who can and cannot get married, and the restriction of that choice, certainly is control over individuals. Whether the current standards are reasonable or not is the topic for another thread....but the "republicans want less government involved but wont get the hell out peoples bedroooms" is an argument I have heard on more than one occasion.

My point simply is is that both parties want more control over the rights and actions of its citizens, just in different ways.

In order for society to function, some restrictions are certainly necessary. Many people who are fed up with government believe that those restrictions have gone past what is needed for society to function.

I agree with your last statement. What the state wants, however, is often based on which party happens to be in control at the time.

No one is saying that anyone 'can't' get married. The debate is over what the state recognizes as legally entitled to obligations and benefits from that situation.

I can sit here and state that 'I consider myself married to my toaster.' Not even with the NSA is someone going to bust into my house and shout 'hey you, stop being married to your toaster. It's illegal.' However, if list my toaster as a dependent on my taxes. . .

Fine, drop the gay marriage part of my point, although one can argue that the state is dictating who can marry who by which marriages it acknowledges as legal.

Your point about marrying your toaster is symbolic about my entire point, however. Some restrictions/laws, etc. are necessary for society to function (i.e. not being able to marry your dog, or your toaster, or whatever.) My point is that BOTH parties have gone past restricting what is necessary for society to function, and have moved into areas where they are trying to control the populace to maintain their own authoritarian power and control.

...and you've just destroyed your own argument. The State will demand money from you in the form of taxes. Those taxes are determined by rules created by the State. If you do not give that money to the State, your cash assets and properties will be confiscated. You will be imprisoned. And yet this is somehow not control over individuals? Bullshit.

Grab a cup of joe and come back with a coherent statement, because this here, . . this here is incomprehensible.

I don't know if I can break it down to you any simpler than that, sorry. Try reading it again.

It appears that we are at an impasse.

Waitaminnit?

Could you perhaps enunciate what you perceive my argument to be? That might help.

Get rid of EMTALA for persons over the age of 18 and problem solved. EMTALA created the mess and illegal immigration blew the problem up. All part of the progressives scheme to eventually get single payer and a obese federal government up everyone's butt.
It's the same mistakes that Spain, France, Greece, Italy and Nazi Germany made. Socialism has just 2 classes. Happy bureaucrats and miserable serfs.
