Oops: MSNBC Anchor Can’t Access Obamacare Exchange

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner...andrew-johnson

MSNBC’s Mara Schiavocampo ran into difficulties as she tried to sign up for the newly launched health-care exchanges on Tuesday. After getting an error message on the website, she called the help line twice, but wasn’t able to reach a navigator on the other end. Instead, she was put on hold for 35 minutes.

“If I were signing up for myself, this is where my patience would be exhausted,” Schiavocampo said before she gave up.

The exchanges, which went online Tuesday morning, have been riddled with technical difficulties in states across the country. The administration has said that the glitches consumers are encountering will be ironed out by Tuesday afternoon.

Terrible example.

The gov't didn't force people to buy GTA 5 under penalty of law.

I tried it just to see how it was working. I was able to make an account and that's about it.

My Congressman's website was having malfunctions today too.

Republican lawmaker admits factual Obamacare ‘error’ on his website
Emma Margolin
11:49 AM on 10/01/2013

It’s been over a year since the Supreme Court ruled that the individual health insurance mandate of the Affordable Care Act was in line with the U.S. Constitution, falling within Congress’ power to tax under the Commerce Clause. And yet, go to the website of Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, and you’ll find just the opposite:

Quote:
“Beyond the implications, the law has been deemed unconstitutional for its mandates requiring individuals to purchase health insurance.”
Now, hours after the gates opened for Americans to begin purchasing health insurance via online exchanges, the Kansas lawmaker admitted that “it must be an error.” He said the message on his website may be confused with a House-passed resolution, rejected by the Senate, to delay the individual mandate.

“That doesn’t mean it’s a good law,” he maintained, conceding that it was in fact ruled constitutional. “And as of last night, as of this morning, the healthcare exchanges are not up and running, they’re not available for businesses, and they’re not working well.”

Kansas is one of 34 states that left the health-insurance marketplaces all or partially up to the federal government to run. President Obama and other advocates for reform braced for glitches on opening day, and Kansas consumers have reportedly already experienced them.

On Monday, the Kansas Insurance Commissioner urged the public to wait until bugs could be worked out before signing up on the federally-facilitated marketplace. But Huelskamp, who attempted to sign onto the exchange at midnight, faced a number of challenges, and declared the whole of Obamacare “not ready for prime time,” in a statement.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, about 358,000 Kansans have no health insurance.

Update at 2:15 pm: The error has been removed from Huelskamp’s website since this interview aired.

Um, the mandate was found unConstitutional. Certain justices just rewrote the bill by calling it a tax. If it were a tax, then it had to originate in the House. So since it wasn't a tax, per Obama, arguments on it now being an origination clause scam were never heard.

Just because some justices say ACA Constitutional doesn't make it true. It's just power that enforces it.

It didn't need to originate in the House, although it did originate in the House.

Um, then why did the rep admit it was a mistake?

And yes, per Marbury v. Madison, the supreme court decides what is constitutional.

For sh*ts and giggles though, who is it in bizarro-narnia world that you think should decide on the constitutionality of laws?
