Recall Voting For The House And Senate

Would you favor establishing procedures for recall by popular vote? I am picturing a system that would allow state legislatures to initiate recall proceedings on members of the House and the Senate, to be voted upon within the respective state.

I'd rather go with term limits.
Requiring a state level legislative initiative and a popular vote would, hopefully, make it a rare event.

OK, I see what you are saying. That would be interesting and I wouldn't fight it. We would still be getting representation through our elected officials and this is, after all, a representative republic rather than a democracy. The system we have right now feels broken to me. I think the rules of each state would eventually normalize as different ideas were played out. As of right now I think it's the USCON that determines how the Senators are elected though so I don't think it can be changed at the state level.

When someone asks me if I approve of the job congress is doing, I'm part of the 10% who say "yes." They haven't passed a thing in months, they've just run through spending cuts with the sequester, and now they're shutting down non-essential services. What's not to like?

Well, I don't care for politicians passing too many laws. So I like the gridlock although I favor them repealing laws that roll back govt. Besides when you say "we" getting representation, there is no "we" as in one mind-meld. There's too many people.
