Bank money seized, DL suspended, lien placed on your home if you don't get Obamacare

http://www.infowars.com/obamacare-fi...bank-accounts/

A man who attempted to sign up for Obamacare online was told that a fine of over $4,000 dollars a year for refusing to take out mandatory health insurance could be taken directly from his bank account, and that his drivers license would be suspended and a federal tax lien placed against his home, according to an entry on the HealthCare.gov Facebook page.

“I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 “Silver Plan” and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I “opt-out” and chose to continue along with no insurance.

I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the “REPERCUSSIONS PORTION” for “non-payment” of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with “Non-Payment” and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy “Automatically withdraw” your “penalties” weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is “Free” or even “Affordable.”

Go on the health exchanges and find out for yourself.

For me...same coverage costs me double per month and 3 times the deductible. It's nonsense.

Been there and haven't gotten to verify my identity...keeps giving me an error. So at least you have that going for you.

Does not seem like a genuine story but it made me wonder how expensive it is to have diabetes without any current health insurance?

I suppose it would depend a lot on the particular symptoms of the individual, but I would think a person would have to try their best to keep it from getting worse.

Google searching has led me to a bunch of articles stating that insurance premiums will go up, but they don't really do a good job of explaining why.
Its very simple. Prior to this act, insurers simply denied coverage to people with certain pre existing conditions, such as Diabetes. The exchanges offer insurance plans that allow for pre existing conditions. So, basically, on October 1, all these sick, fat, unhealthy people can finally "get" insurance they could never get before. Problem is, it is very costly to insure unhealthy people, so the rates go through the roof, and the deductibles go way up.

The ACA needs two to three "healthy" people to sign up for every unhealthy person to offset the costs. Problem is, healthy people can still get affordable health insurance on their own, albeit with a slightly higher deductible than they might have been paying before.

Why does it affect the non exchange people? Because the same companies that are going to lose their asses operating on the exchange have to recoup some of that money somewhere.

Once again, healthy people will foot the bill for those that aren't.

right...but when the loan is guaranteed by the Government then those private institutions are going to up their rates for two reasons: increaed participation and because they can.

They're partly right -- two of the primary factors that have caused college costs to escalate at annual rates of 10+% on average (when inflation is half that) are (1) the feeling by EVERYONE in America that a college education is necessary, and (2) government involvement in financial aid, including underwriting it.

When ANYONE can get a loan, and the government will back it, then there are no underwriting principles at all. As a result, colleges jack costs, kids continue to pay it, and the government underwrites it. The only risk of default isn't on the schools or banks, it's on the government.

I'm sure they're going up in way more than the insurance companies are being impacted; gives them a great excuse to dramatically hike premiums over and above the expense of insuring previous conditions.

In the past I bought my two daughters (21 & 20) some really cheap policy for $800/year each. Now those policy are not good enough, I have to buy a compliance policy which at least $1600/year each. No, I can't get any subsidy because my work offers a family policy. But it costs additional $7800/year if I choose to do so.

$7800/year to add your daughters to your work policy?
