Should we default on the nation's debts over Obamacare?

Take whatever position you want: that you want Obamacare repealed, that you want a couple parts of it repealed, that you want it to be delayed...

Whatever position you anti-ACAers adopt these days, and answer this question:

Do you believe we should default on our debts because Obamacare is being implemented in its current form?

Gonna hurt. Hope we dont do that to protect a bad program. But looks probable Obama would rather we test the bottom with default rather than no default and give a year to fix obamacare or kill it.

Poor folks and govt employees better check to see who has their back. Contractors and non essentials will go first.

Better to default then. At least all those who fall out in another huge ressession will get healthcare. You can see the logic.

are you suggesting that reducing the economic output of the country would somehow reduce federal revenues?

actually no i don't see the logic...

another huge recession is not going to help anybody...

and people are beginning to get health insurance through o'bamacare, so if the ted cruz faction of the house repubs wants a debt ceiling debacle they better get with it, time's running out...

One side or the other it seems. Either one can stop it. Neither seems much interested. Asshole ideologues are that way. What did Harry say ? We will not give ? Obama said he will not negotiate?

Once these people say never its hard for their ego to step back. Hardcore stuff. And it does not look like a game. Shit will get real.

But you do see that is the tradeoff. Obama/reid seem to be willing to go over the cliff to avoid any changes to ObamaCare. Zero room to move at this point.

Obama is having a hard time pinning this on the R 's. Its an R and a D thing. And an Obama issue. Making dumbshit statements about farmers and small business and loans and shit....Stupid

President Barack Obama repeatedly complained on Thursday that the public took a skeptical attitude toward his decision to shutdown the government rather than agree to the GOP’s Obamacare reform proposals.

According to the president, too many Americans believe “both sides are just squabbling” and “neither side is behaving properly.”

“The only thing that’s keeping the government shut down … basic research from starting back up, and farmers and small businesses getting their loans, is that Speaker John Boehner won’t even let the [2014 budget] bill get a yes or no vote, because he doesn’t want to anger the extremists in his party,” Obama said during a speech given to a construction company.

sure there's a tradeoff, of sorts...

but i really think o'bama and reid will let the repub cruzy faction go over the cliff before they allow o'bamacare to be derailed...

personally, i like the no-negotiation strategy wrt the shutdown and the debt ceiling...

i don't think any faction should be able to diddle around with the functioning of the government or the credit rating as a negotiating ploy...

let them vote and let's see how many repubs are willing to negotiate without holding a gun to the head of the country...

yes, yes i know this sounds like it is straight from msnbc, but i felt that way before the pres announced his no negotation strategy...

Why give in to someone who is willing to burn his own house down if they don't get what they want?

I know Obama is on record tying Obamacare to the debt limit. Someone want to link where the republicans have tied them together?
