Should we default on the nation's debts over Obamacare?

Take whatever position you want: that you want Obamacare repealed, that you want a couple parts of it repealed, that you want it to be delayed...

Whatever position you anti-ACAers adopt these days, and answer this question:

Do you believe we should default on our debts because Obamacare is being implemented in its current form?

Top four reasons why I'm talking about default

4. The deadline for avoiding default is two weeks away.
3. It is being discussed regularly in the media.
2.The Republicans have shown a willingness to use that a negotiating tactic in the past and haven't taken it off the table.

And the number 1 reason why I am talking about default is...

1. The thread topic is default.

Because the estimated default date is in 2 weeks and you have tea party caucus types saying publicly that the debt ceiling is their "real leverage" against obamacare?

Should we wait another 10 days to mention it?

So as I asked. In order to compromise, what will the a republicans give up?

And you keep calling it unpopular. Obama ran on healthcare reform in the first election and won, them passed Obamacare to law. It survived 40 some attempts at royal, then Obama got re-elected.

Did you consider your high school prom king unpopular just because you and your friends didn't like him?

Default would only occur in the event the Administration decides, as is their stated policy, to default on existing debt payments in favor of other expenditures.

BTW: Social Security receipts still exceed disbursements, so the only reason SS checks would not go out is, again, because someone intentionally decides to withhold them.
Should we quit paying for medical care for the elderly? Doctors should give free care or sick old people should die?

Should we quit defending our nation?

I'll stop with those two because you could not do those things and service the debt.

No, you missed the number one reason we might go into default.....Obama has tied a debt ceiling increase into Obamacare.

Obama did that? Obama needs to raise the ceiling in order to pay US debts (that Congress approved) and HE tied it to Obamacare? What the **** are you talking about?

What was the number for the housing crisis and related financial problems? Oh, its still unfolding so we still don't know 5 years in.

The week that it happened, I told my wife that I wish I could just write a check to someone for $30K and make all of the downstream financial impacts to our family go away. That would have been a good bargain. I'm pretty sure defaulting would be an outcome of similar magnitude.
