There is absolutely no reason you can't duplicate the "Cardinal way". Our success is built on the draft. The Royals usually pick higher than the Cardinals. You just need a GM to make the right picks, better scouts or whatever it is holding you back from draft success.. It is possible.

Its a Process. Our GM feels like we won a WS this year. Pack em' up.

The one actual Sox fan I know down here is from Boston and is actually a pretty decent guy, way more than I can say about anyone else I've ever known from there. Anyway, he interned for the '47 brand this summer, probably the biggest hat manufacturer that I can think of outside of New Era. He got to go up last weekend and sell shit before the games and then get to go into game 1 and 2 for free. And for all I know he's probably there right now too. Dickhead.

It really is so easy to take for granted, I do it for damn sure. Then we all just have to remember what it's like to be a Chiefs fan and it puts it all back in perspective

I felt that way in 2006 also. Then our draft picks started working out. Because of our drafts, I feel that its a "real" possibility that we will be right back here next year.

Here's the other thing: This ****ing sucks. It sucks the biggest of chancred cocks, but it doesn't take anything away from 2011. You compartmentalize this experience and move on.

Yeah its not just the drafts but developing that talent. Carpenter is an example of good developing.

Rosenthal is an example of luck but also recognizing that a player may not be a major leaguer at their current position but may at a different position.

Wacha and Miller are examples of not missing on your 1st rounders.

To compete with the $8 BILLION cable contracts of the Yankees, Dodgers etc. you must first draft well.

And this is why you dont concede the game in the 4th by bringing in Lance Lynn.

I wish every Cardinal fan could have gotten the experience of being in the ballpark that night. It still gives me instant chills every time I think about it. I don't know if it would be possible to have such a roller coaster of feelings in such a short time, but one thing I sure as shit will never forget.
