Do you or did you ever change your mind?

Have you ever changed your mind about politics due to something on the internet, broadcasting or newspaper? I personally don't hold many strong beliefs. Sometimes I rather admire posters like Mad Crappper, Chiefsshrink or Frazod. I find there absolute belief in their ideals touching but scary. Anyway, have you ever changed your mind on something after reading a post here or taking part in a discussion here. And if not whats the point of D.C.

Shrug. It happens. You read information from people who are considerably more informed than you are, you will find your beliefs change.

Happens with me on a regular basis, and thank god for it.
Yes, I agree. Something tells me that that's not what bandwagonjumper was asking about though. Maybe I'm wrong.

You answer the question you have, not the question you want.

Is that a bit of wisdom you learned from Don Rumsfeld?

It's a rhetorical twist I've adopted from him, yes.

Fareed Zakaria has never had a line as influential/quotable as the top 10 Rumsfeld lines.

I can't recall that happening. Books, yes. Conversation, yes. Internet, broadcasting or newspaper, no.

Does anyone find it shocking that Direckshun has had his mind "changed" only by liberal writers? It's like me saying that I've had my mind changed by Max Boot, Ed Morrisey, Elliott Abrams, Ralph Peters, and Dick Cheney.

Libertarians have changed my mind on more wars than our current one.

I used to be a conservative hawk but conservative sites linking to Reason and Radley Balko have turned me into a libertarian almost a minarchist.

Yes, about abortion. I followed the herd for a long time before I realized I simply couldn't justify it.

Only thing Direckshun, is that you're not a "liberal." You're a socialist.

I was once semi-socialist, a liberal, a democrat but no longer.

I change my mind daily. From what I want to eat, what to wear, what to watch on TV ( rarely watch it tho) to what I feel like reading or if I want to clean my house.

I'll take a risk here and give an honest answer because I like the topic. I voted Republican until 2012.

In 2012, I voted for Obama. I just can't stand the right's attitude anymore. It's like they don't recognize people who don't share their views as being Americans. I made this decision through personal experience and it had nothing to do with the media. I don't want to be a part of that.

I have become a Libertarian over the last five years, but this site had little impact. Mostly I like to read the posts for the humor and insanity.

If you never change your mind on issues, simply because they were sourced from your political "Side", then you're a close minded buffoon.
