Chiefs have the #1 scoring defense in football after 5 weeks

We are only allowing 11.6 points per game...even more impressive is that the second place team is NE at 14 ppg. That's a sizable lead.

Some other rankings after 5 weeks...

1st in sacks
1st in passes defensed
1st in defensive touchdowns
1st in recovered fumbles
3rd in interceptions
7th in yards allowed per game
4th in pass yards allowed per game
21st in rush yards allowed per game (Philly game skewed this one)

Translation: the defense is killin it

They definitely have room for improvement.

Especially our veteran QB, who's numbers are plummeting into Cassel territory.

His numbers have always been Cassel territory.

But that doesn't mean his game is Cassel territory.

I think we would be much further along if "Eric Fisher" never happened. But, oh well.

BTW what does your buddy Jason La Canfora say about Tony G being a possibility?

Abdullah and Demps have played pretty damn good.

Lewis just needs to be set free. Hopefully that's the case once Commings is back.

Just for giggles imagine KC was able (big hypothetical there) to take the highest MU prospect the last 5 years.

Other than QB we'd be BALLING...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Or star

Or Vaccaro

Or Geno

Or Mingo

Eric Fisher return and start to flash some kind of dominant ability...and I'm not talking about getting dominated, either. We've seen that act already.

The injury sucked for him, it seemed in the giants game he had corrected some of his technique and was playing better.

Does vacarro play FS or ss? I think star would have been a better pick than vacarro, but I still think Sheldon should have been the pick.

Offense is scoring enough while getting adjusted to a new scheme, players, injuries, etc. should improve

yeah, i should of specified 'starting' free safety.

0 interceptions and 1 pass defense just isn't good enough imo

anxious to see what Commings brings

Commings isn't gonna have a free ride to the starters job at free once he is healthy.

I think Abdullah is our best free safety and that he should be starting. Demos as the backup. Lewis playing for Oakland.
