Chiefs have the #1 scoring defense in football after 5 weeks

We are only allowing 11.6 points per game...even more impressive is that the second place team is NE at 14 ppg. That's a sizable lead.

Some other rankings after 5 weeks...

1st in sacks
1st in passes defensed
1st in defensive touchdowns
1st in recovered fumbles
3rd in interceptions
7th in yards allowed per game
4th in pass yards allowed per game
21st in rush yards allowed per game (Philly game skewed this one)

Translation: the defense is killin it

It matters because of how many things a defense has to prepare for dictates how aggressive you can be as a playcaller.

33 percent doesn't seem that poor for passes of that nature.
Last year the league leader in passes 20+ hit 53 percent.

I don't ****ing know, and I don't ****ing care.

Unless we start consistently threatening defenses down the field this offense will NEVER be productive.

20 years as a fan of this franchise should teach you that.

FOREHEAD, OUT.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

He's playing well. He's elevated his game back to 2011 levels.

Don't have an issue with him starting.

When you're refuting the argument that he can't throw downfield it does.

Disagree. I think Bowe's numbers are down b/c Alex complete less than 50%of his sideline passes, and Bowe spend more time than any receiver out there.

The fact that he has thrown downfield refutes that

Kind of like the one where he had to come back to the back against Tennessee?
