CNN Poll: 75% say most Republicans in Congress don't deserve re-election

I was assured "we the people" would blame both parties equally.

Formatting sucks, so I'm just posting the link.

We'll never know. Single women and milennials wanted to stay the course, and go with what's obviously working for them.

Winning independents by 5 is probably one of the better performances by a challenger historically.

It's still a long time until Election Day, and we American voters are not known for our long memories in this regard.

Um I thought Obama's numers plummeted to 37% during this?

Polls on Congress are iffy because you can poll nationally, but that doesn't mean the district's they rep feel that way. Cruz got a standing ovation at home. There's more division because the type of Rs elected were Tea Party-types or less moderate Rs who were elected by those kind of districts. We also have more extreme leftists elected in Congress in 2012. So the division is wider. This is what happens when major legislation that fundamentally alters a large sector of the country is passed using reconciliation. The lap-dog media doesn't point this out.

Polls still show ACA as unpopular and it may be that this poll on Congress reflects the tactic used by the GOP. Plus, Obama gets the advantage of a lap-dog media, who 80% admit to being "left-liberal." They get to shape public opinion on the matter. That is on top of an economically ignorant population who have no clue where money comes from, are prone to being bribed and fall for a charming speaker trained in Alinsky's tactics.

That and the blind support of Rs for the "unitary executive" under Bush and his wars. Really, I blame the NeoCons
who are currently going beserk over the American people voicing a strong "NO" to Congress over Syria. If these cats are jettisoned, which is starting to happen, and they make a case for less military interventions they could regain
seats. Just watch the warring over what DeMint's been doing and versus NeoCons like King of NY.

As usual, CNN's conclusions are where they step off the deep end. Republican voters who are pissed at Republicans won't vote Democrat because they are pissed that those Republicans ARE basically Democrats. Tea Party ie Cruz - ya know, Representatives who actually represent their voter base - are the type of folks people want.

And of course the Democratic approval is higher - Democrats are ill informed (or just stupid) line party voters.

"with nearly four in 10 saying even their own representative doesn't deserve a return ticket to Washington next year."

So over 60% of the voters think “Their guy” is swell. In other words absolutely nothing is going to change

If democrats continue to insist rolling out this disaster of a health plan they own and the economy continues to tank this poll will mean even less than the media is hyping it up as now.

It sounds like people may be receptive to arguments that a vote for (insert random R) is a vote for Ted Cruz and John Boehner.

That's why the R should have just left well alone and let Obama's stupidity continue to be on center stage. Would've been 2010 all over again.

The link in the original post says this survey was an international poll? WTF? Who the hell were they surveying? Foreigners? I'd love to see what their demographic was. CNN listeners? This could be like a Fox News poll of it's own public.

Meanwhile Cruz got an 8 minute standing ovation in Texas and another 14 minute one at another location while the pro-Establishment press painted him as a demon.

One has to wonder if these polls are done in a way for a certain result....so the media can keep attacking those who like small govt and liberty. Afterall, many just don't like the fighting or this tactic. So it's not that much over policy like Obamacare. The poll doesn't really get into any of that.

But at least the link says this:
While the generic ballot is a much-watched gauge, it's important to remember that the battle for the House is a district-by-district fight, rather than a national race, and just 17 of the 232 House Republicans are in districts won by Obama in last year's election.
