OK, whatever. Attacks happen (and deaths too). You can obviously overcome them politically. Escalating the situation and highlighting the failure of a policy that many regarded as successful at that time apparently seemed more dicey. There's nothing ridiculous about seeing the decision to blame the attack (and potential deaths) on a spontaneous reaction to an inflammatory video instead of responding to them as an attack against our country as politically motivated. You seem to have a pretty naive understanding of anything involving foreign policy in that region in particular.
