Peyton Manning says he will have MRI on Monday

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will have an MRI Monday after being hit in the right knee area late in Sunday’s win vs. San Diego, he told the media after the game, according to the Broncos’ official Twitter feed.

“I’m pretty sore. They kind of got me twice in that lower area…get an MRI tomorrow and will know more then,” Manning said, according to the Broncos.

Manning was limping after being hit by Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget on a pass play in the final two minutes of regulation. Manning was attended to by the Broncos’ medical staff, but he stayed in the game.

I usually agree, but not here. Then again, you're talking about mental damage (that may never heal), and I simply want his spine pulled out through his neck. In my case they'll just rub some dirt in it, give him a shot, and he'll be back next year.

Critics, doubters, and even 49ers fans and Chiefs fans who doubt Smith's ability to throw down field need to realize that Smith plays a style of quarterbacking that won Montana 4 super bowls in the 1980's before fantasy football and Madden video games were invented.... and THAT style wins games.

I've noticed a pattern where teams that switch coaches midyear always seem to win the first game and then they go into a tailspin. I bet that happens to Denver.

I bet Manning actually fired John Fox and they don't want to announce it yet. Fox probably disagreed with Manning on a play call.
