Secret Service Agent Spills Secret: You've been sold out

I'm thinking about getting the book. I'm a conservative but I know there is corruption on both sides. I hate politicians in general and very suspicious of everything that comes out of Washington. However, like I've said before, I've never seen the stuff that's been happening in DC under this regime happen before to this extent. It's dirty. It's dangerous.

http://www.wnd.com/2013/12/secret-se...been-sold-out/

A former Secret Service agent who protected both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama says he has identified where the political system is broken and what needs to be done to fix it.

Dan Bongino’s recent address to the Heritage Foundation, recorded by WND-TV, spelled out why he resigned from his six-figure Secret Service job to embark on a campaign to warn the American people of the dangers of an out-of-control, unaccountable government.

Bongino, who authored the explosive New York Times bestseller “Life Inside the Bubble: Why a Top-Ranked Secret Service Agent Walked Away From It All,” resigned in 2010 to sound a clarion call to the American people in defense of sane government and the U.S. Constitution.

He told the audience when he entered government work, “I thought I had already seen it all.”

But he hadn’t.

He said many of the elite in government are dedicated to protecting their own interests, not necessarily those of their constituents.

“You’ve been sold out unless you have the money or a bloc of voters,” he said, and “internal interests” take precedence over taxpayers.

“Here’s how the system works … here’s where the siren needs to be sounded. When everybody’s responsible for something, nobody is,” he said.

That’s how an incident like the Benghazi attack can go through “the system” and the results leave everyone surprised.

The WND Superstore has Dan Bongino’s fascinating insider story, “Life Inside the Bubble.”

He also describes the priorities many elected or appointed to high government positions have adopted, and he doesn’t think taxpayers and voters will like them.

He said the solution begins with a question.

“The question isn’t what can we do,” he said, “The question is, what are you doing right now?”

The “Life Inside the Bubble” author provided the audience at Heritage Foundation with an intimate look at life inside the presidential “bubble,” a haze of staffers, consultants, cronies, acolytes, bureaucrats and lobbyists that creates the “alternate reality” in which monumental policy decisions are made.

Published by WND Books, “Life Inside the Bubble” tells the story of Bongino’s experiences inside the Washington, D.C., “matrix,” including within the inner sanctum of the White House. It shows readers why a government filled with some very dedicated people nevertheless continues to make tragic and perhaps fatal mistakes.

“Life Inside the Bubble” is currently ranked No. 13 among non-fiction ebooks on the New York Times Bestsellers list.

Bongino has appeared on Sean Hannity’s TV show and radio program, Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” “Your World With Neil Cavuto,” Mark Levin’s radio show and numerous other radio and television programs.

Bongino’s book has been endorsed by several commentators and public figures, including Hannity, Levin and former Rep. Allen West.

He began his career in law enforcement with the New York Police Department in 1995. He joined the ranks of the Secret Service in 1999 as a special agent, where he was assigned to investigate financial crimes.

In 2006, he entered into duty with the elite Presidential Protective Division in the administration of Bush and remained on protective duty during the change in administration to Obama. He resigned from the Secret Service to run for a U.S. Senate seat in Maryland.

He currently is challenging freshman Democratic Rep. John Delaney in Maryland’s most competitive district.

He has the endorsement of West, who said Bongino left the Secret Service at the height of his success “because he is an American patriot and the embodiment of the highest standards of honor, integrity and character … exactly what we need inside the bubble.”

Bongino said the district leans Democrat by just a couple of points, but he expects to have a large volunteer force and be very competitive in the money fight.

Well, a book of stories of corruption by an ex-secret service agent sounds like an interesting book, but this is basically just an advertisement for the book. There's no information here.

The OP is nothing more than spam for the book. I was hoping there was more to it when I read the OP, like some actual insight or a few nuggets from the book. No such luck though.
