What Would RealisticallyHappen If a Nuke Was Detonated?

Ok, so serious question to get your opinions.

What would happen, in your opinion, if a country detonated a nuke against another country? I’m sure it might depend on who’s involved, but let’s say Iran drops one on Israel; Pakistan, or India etc.

Or, if somehow a small one was detonated by terrorists inside our own country, Canada, or the UK?

What would the fallout (see what I did there) be?

Not really. I'd say the end of the 1960s was it for yield development. The addition of tampers and things to increase it.

That link I posted actually makes things a little less scary. I dropped the largest Pakistani nuke on a city in India and it's damage was pretty limited (except for the people that lived there).

I was initially playing around with giant Russian and US nukes, much scarier.

I'll admit it, I'm a huge cold war buff. I just find it a fascinating era. I wasn't really at the age in the early 80's to be really afraid etc; I think it would be interesting to travel back in time at my age now, not knowing how things turned out since the 80s.

I'm guessing the price of gas and milk would go up and commuting to work might suck.
