Poll: Big gain for Republican Party

Thanks to the Dem's for the gotta have it Obamacare, they now see their own political party sinking faster then the U.S.S. Arizona on the fateful day in 1941.

Poll: Big gain for Republican Party

Democrats are on the losing end of a 13-point swing in the polls since October, resulting in an early lead for the GOP heading into 2014, according to a new poll on the midterm elections released Thursday.

The CNN/ORC International survey shows Republicans holding a 49 percent to 44 percent lead over Democrats, a swift reversal from just two months ago, when the Democratic Party stood steady with an 8-point lead over the GOP, 50 percent to 42 percent.
In the generic ballot test, the poll asked respondents whether they would vote for a Democrat or Republican in their congressional district, without providing any specific names.

The survey follows a tumultuous few months for Democrats, who have been hurt by the rocky rollout of the health insurance exchanges created by the Affordable Care Act. Nancy Pelosi and Andy Reid leaders in the House ans Senator rammed in through underhanded and devious ways to get the Bill signed at any cost. Scoffing at Republicans that requested to read through the over hundreds of pages that no one understood or could explain.

The new numbers will very likely concern congressional Democrats, but CNN Polling Director Keating Holland cautions against making any early predictions on the 2014 elections based on the new poll results.

“Its best if the democrats hide in a bunker until the shelling called Obamacare stops, right now its relentless and furious, constantly under attack,” Holland said. “A year before the 2010 midterms, for example, the Democrats held a 6-point lead on the generic ballot, but the GOP wound up regaining control of the House in that election cycle, thanks to an historic 63-seat pickup.”

Oh so you're going to bring it up every time there's a poll contrary to that?

I got it. Clever.

When you have to lie to the American people,go to all ends of the country to make sure is passes when the majority of the people didn't want it, you have deceived the people to push your own personal agenda.

Not only is the I.T. work a train wreck, it hasn't even had a chance to get implemented on a grand scale and will only become a bigger clusterf**k. The people will revolt, especially the people who lose their coverage only to find out they can't get it right away and it will cost them more money.

I would be thrilled to have insurance,I wanted this to be right, but I knew to would be a wreck and it is something I just can't afford right now. This train wants more money to ride on due to my mine & my wife's pre-existing conditions. Factor in the deductibles, co pays, the longer waiting period to see plus the BS crap you have to go through to get some procedure done, there is just no way this is going to end well.

Right now, I can't afford the premiums, the deductibles, co pays ..... we have lost some of the PAP's that we were on and now have to pay for Carrie's Oxycontin, a $ 900.00 prescription next month. Even with this factored in, it will be about what I have to pay for the HC.

Still can't afford the deductibles and co pays.... Yet somehow I have to find a way to qualify to take advantage of this opportunity to get myself fixed, so that I can have some quality of life, If I get too.

The train wreck may explode before the expensive venture takes place.

BTW, Has anybody noticed the cost of prescription medication is on a sharp rise. We have seen about a 15 to 20 % increase and are awaiting next month when we get to add another $ 900.00 to the mix.

Progressive Progress American, that's Progress at it's finest hour..

No wait, that's Progressive Progress Big Drug and Insurance companies, Genuine Progressive Progress!

If you had problems affording insurance before due to pre-existing conditions, there's pretty much no way that it would get more expensive under Obamacare.

And I don't know what "BS crap" you're saying you have to go through to get some procedure done, but there was plenty of "BS crap" prior to the Obamacare law and it likely isn't the result of it.

The only reason their premiums went up was due to obamacare.

are you arguing that its ok that men need to have maternity coverage?

Not at all. Seems sort of silly to me, but I don't know enough about it to take it to heart.

My employer is luckily is staying away from the exchanges. However, they still had to switch insurance providers/plans.

I'm still going to wind up paying around $1000 more per year for my insurance. And I'm one of the lucky ones.

How the **** is this law supposed to be good for anyone? On a superficial level, it looks like lawmakers said, "Too many people in this country don't have health coverage of some type. Let's just force them to buy it. Problem solved."

Is there anybody here who figures to actually benefit from what this law is supposed to do? I don't know anybody in my immediate family or circle of friends who will.

Isn't WHAT what Obamacare is supposed to do?

Royc's story doesn't make sense.

Correct, men getting maternity coverage included in their policy didn't add anything since they won't actually use it.

Whose premiums went up? Royc's? He didn't actually say that, and your assertion that the "only reason" would be Obamacare is ridiculous considering how steeply premiums have risen for the last 20 years or so.

Think about this--having maternity coverage on a man's policy doesn't cost anybody anything because it won't be used.
