Here's the number of people who've lost their coverage due to the ACA.

The GOP has been reiterating 5 million Americans will lose their healthcare coverage thanks to Obamacare, based on a figure of 4.7 million.

Turns out, the actual number is 10,000 in 18 counties. In a nation of 300 million+ and over 3,000 counties.

Of the 4.7 million the GOP has claimed will lose coverage, half can renew their 2013 plans thanks to an adjustment made by the Obama administration, another 1.5 million have access to tax credits and Medicaid, and everybody else will have access to an affordable plan where they live -- except for 10,000 people.

That's not good information for those 10,000 people, and adjustments should be made to provide some options for those people. And all behemoths like the ACA have some collateral damage, but again, something should be done to provide these folks options.

But a plan designed to insure 30 million people over ten years and bend the cost curve of health coverage has a much smaller imprint (about 500 times smaller) than many of the detractors of the ACA.

10,000. Those are the people whose cancellation notices truly left them in the cold under the ACA. 99% otherwise have ample options.

The problem with your analogy is that the housing market doesn't come with a mandate with a financial penalty.

Come on everyone, the Govt. is doing us a favor by forcing us under penalty of law to buy more expensive insurance.

Think whatever you want about the ACA. I'm just explaining this particular point regarding it.
