Obama to Americans: You don't deserve to be free.

Direckshun, Loneiguana, cosmos and their sympathizers are saying the same thing.

30 years of failed supply side policies.

Conservatives still support it.

Big surprise.

The war on poverty and the war on drugs. Both parties fail~

The 80's and 90's were considered economic boom periods. So to say they were failed policies is nothing but opinion. What works depends on point-of-view--which considers outcomes. In the opinion of socialists and progs ( covert socialists) if everyone doesn't have the exact same outcome, as in economic equality which they consider to be social justice, then it's a failure. So consider who is calling those periods failures. You'll see it's the egalitarians.

These cats want equal poverty for all except the top-tier politically connected -- their apparatchiks. It's really just a two-tier system. When you see through their facade you'll see this crowd is all about political power and control of the "major means of production"--covertly through a confiscatory tax code ( like Euro-socialism) or outright ( Soviet & Cuban systems) Their facade is nothing more than intellectual fraud--a cover for such control. They've been the biggest liars in the history of the world. Just look at their history wherever their ideas were implemented. That's what they call success.

So consider who is saying those years were a failure. Then you'll ignore Loneiguana-types. Not surprising he defends this Alinsky-ish agit-prop speech by Obama.

I love how Obama paints the roaring 20s as a time of economic hardship. It generally wasn't even if the government tried to bludgeon the alcohol business to death and diverted vast sums of wealth to the black market and criminal enterprises.

Also, the boom of the 50s and 60s only happened after most of FDRs New Deal stupidity and price controls were removed.

Obama probably thinks that the Great Depression was in the 20s.

Well, Obama definitely thinks FDR saved us from it or ended it, which is why he's been studying the man. It's also the reason, we've had no recovery and have been in a depression ourselves longer than needed. Instead we get one of the most gigantic albatrosses thrown on our necks--ACA.

Not surprising you don't understand the dynamic of the Roaring 20's.

Also, the boom started in 48 and was driven by the end of WWII and then demographics.

The boom at the end of WWII was due to massive cuts in govt spending. Govt was rolled back while absorbing so many returning men from the war at the same time.

I'm down. We need to bomb China, Europe, India, Malaysia, and the Philippines to get a lasting competitive advantage.
