A religion that killed over 100 million in just the 20th Century alone in Communism. Now I'm not saying you are Communist obviously but this is what happens to societies who purposely deny and keep God(a la Christianity) out of there culture and follow false religions such as Islam or Secular Humanism-no god. And you think your belief system is not being forced on us in our nation now ??? It's called Marxism dressed up in the term Progressivism and "political correctness is the train to move it along Now again I'm not saying you personally are a Progressive but I'm just sayin in general.

Now come at me with the Crusades ya da yada yada... because quite frankly if Muslims were destroying my church and trying to destroy my faith(as they are still trying to do today) I would defend my family and church as well contrary to what progressive liberal revisionist world historians attempt to have you believe. Making any religion the official religion of a nation is idiotic for obvious reasons. BTW, Christianity is not a religion. All religions aside from secular humanism/materialist are based on works by man to get himself into heaven. Christianity clearly states that man can do no works to get himself into heaven. And I'm sure you know the rest of the Gospel that has been given to you many times that you continually reject correct ?? Have you heard the Gospel ?

Bottom line: You have to decide who Jesus really was and still is by the end of your life of which you do not know when you will expire. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes unto the Father but by ME. Notice he said "THE" and not 'some' or 'a', He said "THE". No other options. Was he a lunatic, liar or the redeeming Savior of the world pure and simple. Factual evidence does not point to the first two that's for sure. Maybe you have already decided this or are you still are agnostic ?

What say you my Hitchens admirer ?
I say I have read the books and studied this subject. No my viewpoint is not a religion. I have no problem saying I don't know. The arrogance of someone declaring as fact they not only know god but also know his thoughts is silly. If you state your beliefs are faith based fine no problem. You say that those would don't agree you or your "FAITH" are Marxist or whatever is rather irritating. When the subject comes up I will voice my opinion~

Ok, pontius pilate...I'm sure you need to it be some kind of profound detremint, when in fact it's a clear indication of counterfeiting on steriods..

What does a "new" bible have to do with anything? There are many variations of Islam, Buddhisim, Hinduism, the various new age and historical Paganisms, and almost any other religion.

Heck, one could argue that Christianity is just an offspring of Zoroastrianism's family line.

The simple reason for this is religion is just human fantasy so it can be changed at human whim.

Maybe they just kill each other instead?
I think the Bible (New Testament) tells them they have to.

Any religion is human fantasy.

The Bible, like all religious texts, was written by people. The even had synods debating which books of the bible to include in the New Testament.

Live well my friend as I have said before the only reason to take this further would be an effort to convert or take shots at each other. I am pretty certain I will not change your mind and know you will not change mine~

That is the only one that has been brought up in this thread.

Mohammed was claimed to be illiterate despite he was a successful trader. Thus the Qur'an was straight for the lips of god. We know for a fact his first wife Khadija could read and write. Mohammed probably knew as well considering how much he cribbed from monophysite Egyptians.
